Cursor disappears in Revit 2019 window

At least once every work session, my cursor arrow will disappear. I can still move the mouse around, and I'll see items being highlighted, but I can't see the actual cursor. It's making it very difficult to work. I can't seem to reproduce the issue. It does seem like it disappears more often when I'm hovering over the Project Browser. Has this happened to anyone else?

FYI, I just upgraded to Revit 2019. Never had this issue with 2018. Currently using it on a Mac with Parallels.

No, I use a USB mouse. It happens even if I switch to the trackpad. Thanks though!

I wonder if it's an issue with my graphics card.

they has introduced some new interface revamps to 2019 such as tabbed views, multi-monitor support so they may contribute to what has happened. Does it happen if you run Bootcamp?

Did you check the system requirements and compatibility for Revit 2019?

Also, download and install a new copy of the graphics card driver from the manufacturer's website.

If not, please try a reinstall of the Parallels Tools from within Windows and make sure the USB receiver is enabled in case of a wired mouse?

Hi @Viveka_CD,  I checked the system requirements again, and it looks like I don't meet the memory requirements. Didn't seem to be an issue running 2018, but definitely seems to be an issue for me with 2019.

Also, I ended up disabling hardware acceleration, and that seemed to do the trick-- no more missing cursor!

HI I am editing text in a Legend Revit 2020.2  The cursor blinks or flashes 5 times, then disappears!  When scrolling up or down or left to right the cursor disappears.  This is annoying and would appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this.  If it can be fixed!?

I have tried this on another PC with similar config and get the same problem.

PC: I Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v4 @ 3.60 GHz

RAM: 32 gb

I am having this same issue in Revit 2024 and Revit 2025.  The cursor will reliably disappear upon the first startup of Revit with a fresh reboot of the computer.  I need to restart Revit every time to get the cursor back.  Not a big deal but it does take 2.5 minutes out of my work day, every day.

Running Windows 11 on a pretty high spec near-new Asus Proart Studiobook.
