Cropped Regions via Break Lines.... Too many Wall sections to fit on sheet..... How handle?

Think I'm getting somewhere with this actually....

Wondering if this workflow makes sense.

1. I have one long 3/4" view "wall section that shows the full length of the building (both longitudinal & cross sections.

2. I crop the views on this long section so that I've isolated the individual wall sections in that particular cross section that I need to detail for some typical wall sections.

3. I work in this section view creating all the wall section types for that particular "building section".

4. But then comes the time that I need to place & fit all of these wall sections on sheets.

5. AND, I still want to be able to work in the full width section

6. So, when comes time to put all the sections on sheets duplicate the views as dependent.

7. That way I can crop the contents of the original full length view without impacting it's cropped boundaries and use the duplicated views as views to place on the sheets.

8. Create as many duplicated as dependent views as needed to get all the various sections on the various sheets.

9. Maintain the Full length "parent" full building length wall section as my go to place for working on the individual wall sections.

10. When I make changes to the full building section the dependent views update in the view AND on the sheets they are placed on.

Does this make sense? Any potential issues with taking this approach?

Kinda no.  Duplicate as Dependent?  Aren't you wanting them to have different View Scales?

Actually they would all have the same scale..... at least for the wall sections.

The idea is to have a long 3/4" wall section , say, longitudinal, that is acting as a building section that I can use as my background. Then all my 3/4" wall sections (for that "building section") can be generated from there.

But to your point this does not solve any issues related to the true "building sections"  or different scale details.

My original thinking was that I would need create separate building section views anyway just for purposes of clarity because the linework on top of the Wall section "builiding section" would be too muddy at 1/4, 3/16 or 1/8" scale..... don't need all the extra 2D linework on the building sections.

But that being said, the 1-1/2"+ scale details I haven't thought through yet. Those will and probably should be pulled out of my 3/4" sections because MOST of the linework that I do there is needed for the larger scale details.

Suggestions?
