Creating family with scheduling parameters - type & instance

I am struggling with parameters for schedule

I want to create a door type that will have certain parameters by type and certain by instance, all are for schedule. How do I achieve this?

I have tried working with shared parameters file, but I think I am doing something wrong, I am missing something.... I am missing the basic principles and googling the answer gave me overwhelming information, without answer to what I am asking.

For door and window families, some built in parameters are in elevation view so change them from type to instance on the elevation view.  Other parameters may be changed in any view they are made visble or via family properties.  If you add more parameters to a family and need them to be schedules then they must be shared parameters.

so they must be shared if they are added and need to show in schedule? project parameters would not work here?

In this case, uncheck Reporting parameter box.

I was trying to make it appear in the schedule, but it did not allow me to...

Because it is not a shaded parameter.
