Good day all!
I am creating custom BIM for my employer, an audio amplifier manufacturer. I have the drawings done as .SAT and I'm importing them using CAD and adding properties.
My question is, most audio amplifier BIM that I see are in Family "Communication Devices", or "Audio Equipment".
I don't see this in the list of choices for templates. Can I continue working and change the family to "Communication Devices", or "Audio Equipment" later, if so, how? Do I need to start it with these correct family categories? If I need to start with them, how do I create them new, because they don't exist in the list.
I'm hoping that the template that I'm using "Generic Face Based Model" can be changed later to be in family "Audio Equipment". Please let me know. Thank you!
btw - I'm working with Revit 2016 so as to create BIM in older versions for all to use.
