Creating a tile splashback - Wall thickness issue

Hi,

I'm creating a wall based tile splash-back family in revit. Im having an issue where i load it in to a project, attach to a wall and the offset being wrong unless the wall hostin the family is the same as the project.

Is there a way of making the family host directly to the face of the wall so the tickness is not even taken in to account?

Kind regards

If you constrain your components properly than it will adapt to the thickness of the wall

If you look at the screenshot of the generic model wall bsed family template you will see a reference plane.

This plane will follow the thickness of the wall in the project.

Sof if you constrain your object to this line it should work

As alternative you could use a face based family

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
