Creating 3d pattern

Hello community, is there a way I can get my 3D wall section to look like my 2D wall section with the individual bricks and mortar, wood blocking, vertical batt insulation and adding 6" mtl studs 32" o.c. vert? Please see attachments (examples). I'm trying my best not to add all these individual components in 3D (don't really know if I can), but would rather build the wall so that a cut will show this level of detail. Any solution is much appreciated, will be tried and let you know if worked (if understood)!! I'm using Revit 2022. Thanks.

I would strongly suggest adding the Detailing to a Detail View.  That's an ugly amount of linework to be visible in every cross-section of the Wall - in every View Scale.

Can I, in turn, make that Detail View 3D? The client only wants a 3D rendering. A recent suggestion was to model in-place. I'm trying that right now.

The client wants a RENDERING showing typically 2D Detail Elements as 3D Model Elements?  Arrgh!  Might be easier to talk the client down.  he, he.

Client (my supervisor's request too) needs very simple drawing for understanding how the wall will be built - Cat In The Hat style - w/o insulting them! 😊 Thanks for your input barthbradley!

Export the 2D detail to DWG, link it in a section (do NOT check Current view only box), place where your 3D section box would cut the model, then it will show in the 3D detail.

Tried this - it will not show the components with depth, color, etc. it looks like a pdf placed in a 3D view. This is how the team wants it to look (see attachment)

This is entirely different from what you asked earlier.  If this is what they want then you have no other ways other than model every single piece of them.  Good luck.

What about 3D Exploded Views? Create Parts and Displace the Wall Layers.  Your client might get a charge out of that.

I'll try the 3D exploded views and let you know the outcome. Thanks again!

I decided to model each component (brick, stud, etc.) then copy to build the wall section in 3D which is turning out great - a long process but worth it.  Thanks to all who gave great advice!!
