Hello

is it possible create custom door by 3Ds Max and import it as a family to Revit?

You can export things from 3DS max to dwg and then import it in Revit.

 

However it will be just a door object and will not behave as a door in Revit (i.e. parametric, hosting).

In general I avoid to import foreign file formats as they tend to have a negative impact on Revit performance. Also often the imported model will be too detailed for Revit purpose.

 

I would advise to just (re)model the door in Revit. Try to keep it as simple as possible. The more detailed the family the more impact on performance it will have.

Thank you for your help, and i have another question how can i change the core direction by shortcut for example in autocad when draw wall and press CTRL the core is changing automatically

I do not think you have a keyboard shortcut for this. When starting the wall command you can select the preferred location line. Selecting a location will keep it on that selection during the session for that particular project.

After drawing a wall, hit space and it will flip. It can also work with
multiple selections.
