Create a Reveal Profile for a wall opening Rebate

Hi Team, 

At the moment, I am working with walls with openings for windows and doors.  I am creating the jamb and the head with the tool Architecture-component-model in place- void and cut (one by one). Is there a way I can do it with a profile in the reveal?

Hi,

I recommend creating a void family with the desired profile instead of using In Place components. This allows you to be more flexible and efficient in future adjustments.

Create a Door or a Window Family without modeling the frame and the sash , but only the opening...

I n order to obtain a more complex border profile, once in Window or Door (as you like to choose) Editor, first Delete the Opening and create a Void instead.

I attach an example of such an opening which I've created for an historical building (a Window Family in my case) I've used a combination of a Void Blend +a Void Extrusion....

can I use this one for a concrete wall? I pretty much want to cut (rebate) the concrete. I'll give it a go
