Create a custom ceiling

Hello all,

I want to create a custom detailed ceiling on Revit. When I say detailed I mean that I should be able to add my own main and cross tees on the grid lines and my own ceiling panels as well.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Use Sloped Glazing for that (e.g. Roof).

Use Sloped glazing or Mass + Curtain panel pattern based.

With sloped glazing you can use mullions with custom profiles.  With Mass + Custom panel pattern based, you can also do custom panels (geometric, wavy, all kind of crazy things to waste money on).

That's a great idea. But is there a way I can create a family of sorts and draw boundaries and create it like the default method on revit? Or is there a way I can edit the default ceiling family to include the elements that I want? This would make the whole work process simple and easy.

The fastest and simplest way is to use Sloped Glazing as @ToanDN and I suggested.  It's the way we model suspended ceilings.  It works great.

...have you ever worked with Curtain Walls?  No difference.

You draw a sloped glazing the same way you draw a ceiling, sketch the boundary.  And no, you cannot embed components to a Revit ceiling, it is not up to this level of details.
