Count parameter in Room schedule

Hello,

I apologize if there is already a forum about this... but I couldn't find it.

I have a town home style apartment project. ( two levels in one unit)

The room schedule should be organized like below..

UNIT TYPE         COUNT        AREA            TOTAL AREA

1 BED-A               2                825.15 SF       1650.33 SF

2 BED-A               1                912.02 SF        912.02 SF

2 BED-B               5               2433.99 SF     4867.99 SF

2 BED-C               1                971.44 SF        971.44 SF

grand total         9                                        8401.79 SF

The default "Count" parameter will count every level which doubles the total.

I tried adding another parameter as "Unit Count" from calculated value and have it calculate 1/2.

This makes the total unit count right, however it does not show how I want it to show. ( Please see attachment)

Can anyone help me how to manage "Count" parameter in multi story projects?

So you want the schedule to report all levels but only Count Units on one level?

Yes,

The "Area" should show the total area of the two levels for each unit type and the "Count" should be able to count one level.

Is it possible?

Yes, except can the "Unit Area" you have show the total sf of 2 stories for 1 unit type?

For example..If we look at the "Total Area" on your image, the "Unit Area" for 1BED-A should be 239SF and 2BED-A should be 649SF...

Total area is for both levels. I thought it was what you wanted. If you want per level it can be done too.

I see I've put some numbers incorrectly before. I probably got you confused there.

The result I want eventually is this..

UNIT TYPE         COUNT        AREA            TOTAL AREA

1 BED-A               2                825.15 SF        1650.3 SF

2 BED-A               1                912.02 SF        912.02 SF

2 BED-B               5               973.59 SF        4867.95 SF

2 BED-C               1                971.44 SF        971.44 SF

grand total         9                                        8401.71 SF

The "Area" is representing a single unit's area (both levels).

Is this schedule possible? 

and how were you able to show "unit count per level?"

Add LEVEL Parameter field and Filter/Sort/Group by Level

See attached.  It's doable if the levels are identical.  But I honestly think it's less confusing if the count and the area are consistent, whether per level or all levels, not both.  Mix and match can cause head spin when you have more than a few lines.
