Copying a Keynote Schedule Between Projects

What would be the best strategy for copying a keynote schedule from one project into another? We have a door hardware schedule set up using a keynote schedule, but literally copying to clipboard and then pasting into a different file doesn't work. I also tried the Insert From File tool. Both of these attempts create a schedule in my destination project, but the views are blank. Upon checking the view properties, it looks like nothing carried over.

Should I be exporting to Excel and then importing (or some variation of this)? This is completely new to me, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

False alarm...

So, it turns out that I first needed to delete my previous keynote schedule for our hardware schedule, since we had information in the same keys in both project's, keys Revit wouldn't let me overwrite my older data with the pasted data.

This was a terrible description of why it didn't work, but hopefully it will give someone else a clue how to make this work.
