Copy model group between projects and lost constraints

I created a model group for a vanity, including all the constraints within the group. There's no issue when I copy the group within the same project. However, when I copy it to a different project, the constraints behave unpredictably, even after I save the group. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hello, constrains in groups are not ideal to have. They are not wanted in groups. For your case i suggest you to create your vanity as family, it will work perfect as family.

Ideally, you should model that in as furniture or casework family. Which again might behave weirdly if not constrained properly using reference planes or reference lines.

however, copying model groups between projects should be possible but if those elements are modeled in-place extrusions, the question would be how did u constrain them and are their constraints included in the group? If they are, then the groups would work well between projects. however, groups do have certain limitations so it is not the perfect solution even if it works.

is this workflow because you are using Revit LT?
