Hi all,

To prepare the opening for coordination between disciplines, do you use a out of the box Revit tool or you prefer model the openings manually?

What do you mean by "prepare the opening for coordination between disciplines"?

e.g. there is a pipe passing through a Structural wall.
This is an opening.

A family with a solid mass would be preferable.

These specially are placed by a app. But can also be placed manually.

In you're case the required space may be larger than the modelled elements, a workspace around object or ability for montage/removal of items. So you would need to manually place objects representing the space/opening you need.

Schedule?, there objects so they can be scheduled by their category and a parameter indicating it's a OpeningElement.

Are you asking about how to perform an Interference Check?
