control yes/no parameter in title sheet with global parameter

I added a "for construction" watermark to my title sheet based on this video.

the watermark visibility (a text in my case) is controlled by am instance yes/no family parameter. If I make this an instance family parameter, I have to turn it off for each sheet.

But for my projects ALL sheets start out with this watermark, and once the bid set is finished, I want to turn it off with ONE setting for ALL sheets at once. My idea is to tie that to a global parameter. But how? I didn't see a way how to do that.

My best workaround is to instead of making the visibility an instance  parameter, make it a type parameter and then I change that checkmark in the in "edit type" for the title sheet family. It kind of works, except for the cover sheet and regular sheets I have separate title sheet types, so need to do it at least twice.

OK, i think i figured it out. Making it a type parameter allows me to tie it to global parameters. Just not sure why that doesn't work for instance parameters.

Edit: it works for instance parameters. But I have to tie it to the global parameter for both of the sheet types.
