Concrete Steps

I am trying to create a set of concrete steps.  I thought that in Revit 2010 all you did was switch to monolithic and you got concrete steps instead of pan filled or something like that.  Switching to monolithic in 2011 does not work that way.  Please help.

You must select Monolithic in the Type Properties.

see attached.

That is what I tried initially.  It is not working in 2011, at least not on my computer.  I have a set of steps that I created  in 2010 by checking monolithic.  I went and copied those from that project and was able to make it work.  However, I still cannot create a monolithic stair in 2011.

My example was done in Revit Arch. 2011.

Perhaps the system stair family in your template does not include the monolithic option?

Which Revit Project Template is used when beginning your project? You might take alook in the Template file

and see if the stairs include the monolithic Type setting.

just a guess.

You were right the first time.  I did not look at the image you sent.  I thought you were telling me to click in the check box.

Thanks for your help.

Good.

Problem solved.

Anyone know how to mark this as a Solution in the Forum list?

Does Adsk have to approve it first?

The original poster of the question can mark it as a solution/solved.  I am sure one of the moderators could mark a solution as well but the only real vetting process is if the original poster thinks the problem is solved they go and mark it.
