Complex roof

I am new to Revit, and after watching many YouTube videos and reading multiple forums, I cannot seem to find/figure out the solution to join my roof to the walls. The first attachment shows what I am trying to achieve (Done in Sketchup). The second and the third attachment shows my Revit model with the walls and the roof, but not joined as I had hoped they would be. I have tried the 'Modify Sub Elements tool', 'Pick Lines tool', 'Pick Walls Tool' and I have tried the "In-Place Mass tool" (I must be doing something wrong). Has anyone got any suggestions on how I would be able to achieve my end goal?

If you've got full Revit - and your SKP is modeled 1:1  scale - you could insert the SKP into a In-Place Mass Editing session, close out and apply the Roof by Mass Face.

...then use Attach Top/Base to attach your Walls to the underside of the Roof.

...in fact, you could apply Walls to the Face of the SKP Mass as well (via Walls by Face).

I'd use Roof by Footprint, no slopes with Modify Sub Elements , as shown in my attached screencast:
