Company logo won't export to AutoCAD properly

So the situation is this:

our company logo contains text (Helvetica) which is made with polylines and hatches in AutoCAD. (We're transitioning from ACad to Revit). This logo has been placed in a Revit titleblock.

In Revit this works fine (printing tot paper of PDF), but when we export our sheets to dwg, the logo gets messed up.

Exported to dwg

I first thought it was due to the fact that Revit won't allow lines shorter than 0,8mm. The logo is 5mm tall, the line segments at the end of the letters are about 0,6mm.

But as you can see, it happens only to the letters with curves.

Inserting the logo as an image isn't an option, when exporting the sheet, this image file is placed seperatly and this causes trouble when sending the file to contractors/government.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you solve it?

Hi Kimberly,

From the description, it sounds that there isn't any native AutoCAD or Revit text involved with your issue.  Is this correct?

Which version of Revit and AutoCAD are you using? Can you attach the file?

One possible cause is the display resolution of "Arc and circle smoothness"  in AutoCAD.

From the application menu, Click on Options, Then on the Display tab on the right is "Display resolution"  "Arc and circle smoothness"

Does adjusting this value have an affect on the curves?

There is indeed no native text. The logo was made from an Illustrator file (EPS). The text was then made with hatches in AutoCAD.

The odd thing is, below the big logo there's more "text", but smaller, and this doesn't get jumbled up. I also tried different scaling methods, as the logo is to big when imported. Turns out Revit responds differently whether you scale with the scale tool, or use Scale Factor within the dwg type properties.

After a few trial-and-errors I managed to find a solution.

The letters where made up with splines, and apparently Revit doesn't like this. (I noticed this cause the letters with only straight lines worked)

I redrew every letter in the logo with a polyline (straight lines and arcs) and applied a solid hatch.

It's a bit tedious, but it worked for us.
