I am an designer at GE Appliances in Louisville Ky. We have CREO/ PROE, Solidworks software and I can get my hands on Autocad from Manufacturing. I have a customer which uses REVIT software and he wants me to send him a 3d model which we have in CREO. I know nothing about REVIT. What is the file ext on REVIT 3d file and can he use IGES, SLA, or other transfer file extension to bring it into REVIT. Also can I make a REVIT file from autocad?
There is a couple of ways to accomplish this. The first would be kicking out a sat file then importing directly into Revit. Another option would be exporting a iges then bringing that into Autocad and then exporting from Autocad to something like a dwg that will be brought into Revit. I typically always used the sat file.
Hey,
You can easily transfer files from Creo to Revit using the BIMDeX plugins. These plugins can seamlessly exchange data between these two software in an effective manner, without any loss of data.
