Command "Component" not inserting Components family

I am experiencing some kind of bug. My shortcut "CM" that should use the command "Place a component" is using other commands, like "Plumbing fixtures", "Plumbing accessories", "Electrical Equipment". I've tried removing the shortcut but it still is showing this bug.

Component button only places certain categories such as Generic Models or Furniture.  You can find specific buttons to place Plumbing Fixture, Mechanical Equipment, Lighting Fixture, among others, from System ribbon.  You can also drag drop a family type from the Project Browser onto view to place it.

I don't see a "Bug" in your video. Also, I can't assign "CM" to Place a Component.  Post a screenshot of the Keyboard Shortcut.

...this may be related to the INI file.  Just an educated guess though.  Try temporarily renaming the extension of your INI file (e.g. "old") and restarting Revit and see if the problem persists.  You can always return to the original INI by deleting the new one and renaming the old one back to INI extension.

You must be using a really old version of Revit - or I can't remember the Component Button ever just loading Generic Models and Furniture.  It has always loaded the last component placed for me.  Last Component(/Type) placed becomes default for subsequent Component(/Type) placed is typical across the board in Revit.
