Color scheme and computation height

Hi all,

I'd like to change the grey filled area automatically generated to the part of the rooms not reaching to the computation height when applying a color filled legend.

Is there a way to force it to hashes or transparent with a dashed line surrounding theses areas ?

I am not able to visualize what you are doing and how the color fill and the computational height of the level datum are related!! Can you elaborate?

If you just want to change/edit  the color fill ,you can do that from the Architecture Tab >>> Room & Area >>> Color Schemes

You're right. It would be far easier to understand with a screen capture !

The color scheme properties allows to modify the orange but not the grey representing the area under my computation height (sloped roof).

That is not part of the color scheme. It is the color/appearance of the slab. Change color applied to the slab change or visual style to hidden lines instead and it will be white

• If you want to apply a pattern just to that portion either add/use a room or a filled region for that zone

Thanks helping me understand that it actually was the color of the slab !

However I can't set my color scheme to the foreground as I could with an area plan...

You should be able to set the Color Scheme to foreground on the Properties Palette...but that will not mask the Surface pattern applied to the Slab. That will only bring the Color Fill to Back/Front of Walls & Elements which has a masking property. For that to work the visual style should NOT be Wireframe.

Same for Area Plans, it does not mask the surface pattern applied to the slab

You're right I can select foreground in the Properties palette (good to know).

I set the visual style to hidden lines.

I finally used a Masking region. It does the job but that not really BIM orientated...

Why don't you remove the solid fill from the floor surface pattern?

Sorry, I can't get the point of your question...
I want my floor to be colored so it visualizes the area calculated.

If your floor has a solid surface pattern then it will cover the room colors from the color scheme.
