Code Calc's in Room Tags, How do you get the different occ loads into them?

I have a schedule that has Key Names that I can assign to the rooms or areas in the model.  Those Key names have the gross or net SF numbers associated with them.  The problem I am finding is I can't get that same data into a tag. 

So my thinking was to create a shared parameter that I could select, as a pull down, all the Function of Space options.  That then can assign the proper SF number to another shared parameter that the tag can actually see and do its thing.  But I can't seem to get that to work.

I am really trying to avoid assigning the data twice, once for the schedule and another to the tag section.  But I guess that is what I am currently doing away.

How is everyone else getting this?  Still amazes me that Revit can't allow data from a schedule to show in a tag.

Ok, so all you have to do is this: 

1. Place your room tag

2. select the tag and go to the modify section and go into edit family 

3. Select the create tab and go to label, then select the most appropriate option. 

(It sounds like department would be a good label for you to choose if your wanting to specify the room functions)

4. Once you have input this label, position it where you want it for your tag. 

5. Save model and load in to project. 

6. Now in one of your rooms, select the x shape and then enter the function of the room in the department area (only if you chose department)

7. Do this for every room and that should appear now you have added that parameter to the tag.

Am I understanding you correctly that the gross sf is intelligent but the net sf is manually entered?

No both are intelligent.  I can pick from the list in the IBC table and it gives me the SF no matter if it is gross or net.

So you meant the Occupant Load Factors, not the Room Gross or Net Area?

Unfortunately you cannot bring shared parameters to a Key Schedule.  So you would need to group Rooms by Occupancy in a normal Room schedule and enter the value to the shared parameter field.  It shouldn't be too bad if you setup the schedule with filter/group and un-itemized rows.
