I have mapped parameters in COBie extension etc..When i come to export it however I just get the following error which i cannot solve. I have tested this with a lot of the parameters cleared so the spreadsheet would be totally blank and I still get the same error.

Can anyone help me figure out how to solve this error?

I would appreciate any help.

This looks like an old issue, but it comes up every now and then so I wanted to put some potential solution in here.

What is probably happening is that some piece of text in a Revit parameter getting exported is not supported in an Excel field. Usually this happens when someone has copy/pasted from another source into the Revit parameter or element Type name, often from a website.

To narrow it down I suggest exporting the worksheets one at a time. This will help determine what type of object in Revit has the bad data. If it is a Type or Component, I would then suggest exporting those in “chunks” to further narrow down the offending element. Through trial and error, they should be able to determine which Revit object (or objects) have the bad data. When that is found, the data in the parameter needs to be deleted and then typed in manually – no copy/paste.
