Hello, I am trying to get a Revit Family to behave on COBie export.
In the model I have set up parameters that contain data to go to the COBie output.
First thing to ask – am I right to assume that in the family I should not name the parameters with the COBie prefix? I have a parameter called ‘WarrantyDescription’ – in COBie that would be ‘COBie.Type. WarrantyDescription’ – the COBie-ised project adds the COBie parameters to the families when you import them.
Some of the parameters in the family get sent to the matching COBie parameters when I use the Batch modify in the COBie Extension, but others don’t. I have tried grouping them differently in the model (change for ‘Other’ to ‘Data’ for example but they get changed back automatically when I load the family again.
I even tried creating the parameters in the family with the COBie.Type.** prefix but that only doubles up the parameters when imported.
I have tried parameter mapping in COBie – that doesn’t work (or I’m doing it wrong).
I’m confused and lost –
Thanks for your help
