Citrix Workspace app not showing "Save to My Device"

I have a multi-server Citrix environment to house multiple applications to support our Chromebook 1:1. All published applications except Revit, show a "Save to My Device" option when saving a project. How do I get this to appear to allow students to save back to Google Drive from within a published Revit instance?

Wild guess here. Revit only runs natively on Windows OS and since Chromebook uses Google's OS saving a file to that device won't yield a file a user can work on because the software won't run on it directly. You'll likely need to provide a cloud based location the file can be stored on. This way they can remotely access a session of Revit via the Chromebook and open the file from there?

All other AutoDesk and any other windows only application works fine, so I
don't think this is it. Also, I know other schools are using it without
issue.

Then I doubt it has anything to do with Revit at all, sounds like a conversation with your IT resources is in order.

That seems very counter-intuitive to me. If Revit is the only piece of software having the issue, it would seem to me that it is an issue with that software.

Where does Save to My Device appear while using other the applications? If it is part of the user interface of the software then it has been written in deliberately to support the feature. If not, if it is part of the citrix user interface then Revit has no control over that UI. If it is meant to be supported by Revit then a separate installation would be required to add it to the Revit UI.

It appears in the Save dialog like any other save location in other
applications. Much like it is a mounted drive.

I am working with Citrix support as well, trying to determine exactly how
it works.

Hi @sebastianseifert

I have forwarded your query to the team and let you know once I hear back from them.

Meanwhile please look at the system requirements for Revit 2019 which has a mention of Citrix recommended-level configuration.

Regards,
