changing the rgb value of material

I was trying to paint different object faces in Revit. created 2 materials using create new material option and used colors red and yellow and gave different RGB values. but now when I change RGB value of red, its automatically changing RGB value of yellow. why is it? I want 2 colors

The way materials are set up in Revit is by far intuitive. What you did, and what just about everyone does, is change the asset. And assets can be used in different materials, as you discovered. So if creating a new materials, you not only need to duplicate the material but most importantly, you need to duplicate the asset.

BTW: the asset you changed is used by 14 materials....

When one is Yellow and the other is green, red or any other different appearance you need to use the option "Duplicate Material and Assets"
