Dear Community,

Is it possible to change the rectangular profile of the build pad ... for instance if i would like to use the building pad to make a drainage canal and i want the cut to be trapezoidal?

I'm not sure what is happening on your end, but the building pad can be any shape you can sketch.  As for drainage canal, do you mean you want to slope the Building Pad? If so, use the Slope Arrow tool in Sketch Mode.

Hi

I think what you are looking for is bit difficult or may be impossible to do using building pad.

Building pad are going to cut a shape in plan, but there's no provision to change the sectional profile.

This is what I came up with which may help you..

1. Use pad to cut the topography.

2. Use Floor to replicate the drainage on plan.. ( give a slope if required. )

3. Use Slabedge to create the sectional profile.

Cheers.

Is this what you mean by "trapezoidal"?

...it's all about Toposurface Point Placement and Point Elevation.  You "model" the Toposurface with strategically placed Points.  Lot of work.

...FWIW:

TIP: Snap Toposurface Interior Points to Ref. Planes.
