Changing nested family type in the host family

Hi all,

I'm having an issue when trying to change the family type of a nested family in the host family. The nested family is a Detail item and the host family is a Detail line-based item.

Once I load the nested family in the host family I have all the types available in the properties palette, but when I chose a different type, I just doesn't change the type.

Does anyone know where I went wrong?

I'm not following you, but I don't find anything wrong with the family you posted. What exactly won't change?
