Changing family from Specialty equipment to Wall based family

Hi everyone!

I have quite a few items created under the specialty equipment family category, and I need to change them to a wall based family category (generic model wall based appears to be the right one idk). Is there a way I can do that?. I know I might be able to just copy my model to a new file under the new family type, but will that carry the identity data I already have? Just looking for the fastest and easiest way to do it..of course.

You will only be able to bring over the parameters of the objects that you have copied over.

Nest your Specialty Equipment family into a Generic Wall Based template. Then associate its parameters with the parameters of the new family.
