Change to family shows up in 3D but not on plan

Hopefully, this is an easy fix and I'm just missing something.

I created a 2-sinkhole countertop by editing an existing single-hole countertop.  I can see the 2-hole countertop in the 3-D view, but in plan view, it still shows the original single hole countertop.  When I select the single hole countertop in plan view, the 2-hole appears in the Properties thumbnail (see image and note the Properties box)

Hello @brookssc 

Can you please select the altered geometry in the 3D view, look at the Visibility/Grraphics Overrides button, and verify that the checkbox for Plan/RCP is checked. Sounds as though some geometry has been told not to display in plan.

I'm having trouble finding the "Visibility/Graphics Override" button.
I selected the geometry (countertop) in the 3D view and right-clicked.
Went to "Override Graphics In View" but did not see Plan/RCP.

Revit barely has any functions with right-clicking ;P.. The Visibility/Graphics Override is always on the left in the properties menu. somewhere near the top.

In the menu you can set when and how a element is visible. It controls visibility at detail levels and in what kind of view what element is visible.

@brookssc in the family - left click to select the geometry, look at the Properties palette. You will see the button for Visibility Graphics Overrides. Click that to find and control the display of geometry in different views. 

Another check - at the bottom of the screen you will see a button for the family preview. Test the family by turning it on.

Thanks. Everything is checked in the Visibility/Graphics Overrides for 3D
Views AND for Plan views, but still not seeing the 2-hole countertop in
the plan view - just the original single hole counter. Really got me
baffled.....

Chances are that what you are seeing is Plan View is Detail Lines and Masking Region -- not 3D Geometry. Open the Family and in 3D View select the sink and check its Visibility Settings. Betcha Plan/RCP is unchecked,  which means that it is invisible in Plan View in Project.   Go the Plan View, turn on Preview Visible (located on the View Control Bar) and see what is Visible in the Plan View.  

You con modify the Detail Line/Masking Region line work or delete it, and instead make all the 3D Geometry Visible in Plan/RCP through the Visibility Settings.
