change the color of the columns in linked structural model

I am trying to change the colors of the columns in linked structural model, I did the setting below, but nothing changed.

Okay, figured it out. Need to change detail level to medium, originally it was coarse.

Try using the Tab Key and cycle through to the Column and Right Click Override Element in View.

 

Use the Imported Categories Link or Revit Link Tab and use a Custom Override and do it through the Link directly

I see you posted during my reply.

 

The reason for this is that in Coarse mode it is just a symbolic representation of the shape so you could edit the Line Style in the Link if you you really need coarse model

Or just change the Detail Level for Structural Columns In that Link

Simply change the Stick Symbol "CUT" Override.  Your solution is not a true solution as you may not want to change all other elements detail level.
