Change text style/font linweight

Hello.

I work with Revit and we use a specific font style in our projects.. however, it comes setup with Revit by default and the lineweight is very thin, making it even look  wierd alongside everything else.

The upper text and the other lines are imported from AutoCAD and "SIMPLEX DEFAULT Lineweight" is a simple text line I placed inside Revit...
My goal is to have the Revit text instance with the same lineweight as the rest.

Revit supports True Type and Open Type Fonts and uses those installed on a PC. It depends on the font definition for its appearance. Simplex fonts, which are commonly used in AutoCAD, are not supported. See if you can find a compatible font that is based on the one you prefer to use. That font must be deployed to every PC that will work on your Revit project files.

Well... I actually use the Simplex font in Revit

But regardless of the font itself, is there a way to control it's lineweight?
e.g changing the linewight of Arial or some other basic font to make it thicker?

Simplex is the name of the font, it would have to be the simplex.ttf font. Revit doesn't support the simplex.shx font. It will convert that font to something else according to the shxfontmap file (text file Revit uses to map shx fonts to ttf).

Some people use Romans or Arial Narrow instead of simplex.

You can try to find a better true type version of Simplex? Revit just shows the font according to its own definition. There are no additional font overrides or control to change the font itself, apart from bold, underline and italic...those features built into the font definition.

This site list alternative fonts that are similar to Simplex.

Sadly SHX text works well in AutoCAD because you are able to add the text to the layer and it will print based on color lineweight. Revit don't do that and rely on text display to print out as is for their lineweight. Your only options are to True Type fonts and see what works for you.

I suggest to find similar or better looking TTF or OTF fonts to use in Revit.  (Old) AutoCAD used SHX fonts because the computers back then have 2MB of RAM, their prime has passed.

I usually download the new front to window and use in Revit. Sometime they many type of front of 1 single style.

The Same issue we are facing for Text style RomanS it is coming faded after exporting from Revit. True color option is not working. Can we import AutoCAD text style to Revit. Please suggest.
