Change Schedule Text To All Caps Easily

Hi Everyone, looking to see if there is a way to get all of my data in my equipment schedule to be uppercase.  My data is being pulled from my components being inserted.  Don't know if there is an easy way without having to type everything again.  Also, should I just use a font that only has capitol letters?  Any advise would be very much appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous

Please see the link HERE to change  text to Uppercase using Dynamo

Alternatively you can also use a macro HERE from archsmarter to change the text case.

I need to change the text to uppercase in a schedule (ie. Panel schedule) that calls out family parameters.

The macro just changed leaders & notes

Does this make sense?

How is this an acceptable solution?

Autodesk needs a few less engineers if this is what it takes to simply change the font.

It's July 2021, and this is still the only way to change the font in a schedule? What are you guys working on at Autodesk?

I'm so baffled why there isn't all caps check box just there built in to all fonts. Most architects used all caps in their drawings. But they type emails and documents normally, with lower and uppercase letters. So every time you go back and for the between notation in revit and typing somewhere else you're either in caps or not. ITS ETERnally FRUStrating. SO MANY OTHER PROGRAMS have and ALL CAPS OPTION, like a simple toggle... ComE on Autodesk - give us what we need - an all caps toggle on all fonts properties with nO mucking around - THAT WAT WE ONLY HAVE TO TYPE EVEYTHING ONCE...  thAt way we only have to typE everything once...

Do a search on changing parameter case using Dynamo.

If Revit gives you what you need, how wd they sell new version every year ? It took 10 years to have them do revision cloud as simple rectangle instead of single segments...lol.

Yeah I can't find that last box 'SetParameterByName'. When I search it all that comes up are these ones that have Element. before them. Do I need to import a library? @ToanDN
