Change material of linked CAD model

Hi,

I am looking for a solution how to change the material of linked CAD file. I tried changing it in object styles- imported objects and changing the material by layer and it didn't worked out. Any idea what would be a reason?

Select element, right-click and Override Graphics in View by Element.  That work?

Thanks, by this you can just change linework and surface transparency. There is no option to change colour of the element

Open the DWG and change everything to by layer.
