Is it possible to set different centerlines for rectangular ducts in revit?

so you can see them in hidden lines?

When placing a rectangular duct:

• Start the Duct tool (Systems tab > HVAC panel > Duct).
• In the Options Bar, use the alignment options:
  • Offset: Specify the vertical placement relative to a level.
  • Justification: This determines the alignment of the duct's centerline. Options include:
    • Center: Align the duct along its horizontal and vertical centerline.
    • Left or Right: Align using the left or right vertical face.
    • Top or Bottom: Align using the top or bottom horizontal face.

To change the centerline alignment of an existing duct:

1. Select the duct.
2. In the Properties palette, locate the Justification parameters:
   • Horizontal Justification: Choose Center, Left, or Right.
   • Vertical Justification: Choose Center, Top, or Bottom.
3. Adjust the Offset to control the vertical placement.

For precise control:

• Create Reference Planes where you want the duct to align.
• While placing or editing ducts, use the Align tool (Modify tab > Align) to snap the duct's edges or centerline to the reference plane.

There is no straight forward way to do it no. Some of the workarounds

1. Overlay two views on a sheet
   • View A: with the duct in Hidden Lines mode half tones
   • View B: with the duct category isolated and view set to wire frame
   • Place A on sheet then Place B and align them (See GIF below)
2. Applying transparency to duct category (unless the system is isolated, some other elements might also show through
3. Using Dynamo to place model lines along the duct center line
4. Trace them manually
