Hi, Im struggling with finding the best way to create this Cathedral ceiling where part of the ceiling slopes in 2 directions. Can you please assist me?

  1. Start by setting your starting elevation at 8'-8"
  2. Create a ceiling as 1/8th of an octagon. Add a slope arrow in the sketch, going from the lowest edge to the highest.
  3. Select the slope arrow, and set the difference in height (2'-0") between the tail and the head of the arrow.
  4. Now you have 1/8th of the octagonal ceiling.
  5. Make a group of this piece of the ceiling.
  6. Mirror this piece as many times as needed, using the sloped edges as the axes.
  7. Then do the rest of the ceiling, flat, at 10'-8".
