Ceating a Wall that inherits all instance properties

Hi there,

I would like to ask for a solution for a problem related to creating walls repeatedly that inherits the last inputs automatically. The inputs I mean is not family-related properties but instance properties.

How can I create entirely a similar wall ?

I attach two screenshots for two wall properties window. The first is of the to be similar created . The other shows the the properties of the new one created by selecting (create similar) in the modify tab.

Create Similar will inherit instance parameters but only if there are default values defined in the family editor, which for walls isn't applicable. As such you'll start sketching a wall that is based on the same level etc but it won't fill in your custom parameters. If you copy the wall then they'll be included but then it isn't as easy to put the wall in place.

If those similar walls should have the same values then consider making them Type Parameters so all the walls that should have the same values do so, the very reason for Type parameters.
