Cchange color of imported dwg

i imported  a dwg file right clicked and selected override graphics then catergory and changed then tried to override the colors using the category option to all black after clicking apply and ok and returning to screen the imported dwg still maintains its layer colors from acad. what's up with that?

Right click override graphics by elements. Next time choose Back and white option when link or import the CAD file so you won't have to override graphics.

It doesn't work that way?

 

Try changing the colors of the Imported categories for the .dwg in Object Styles or V/G Overrides.
