casework properties

why is the " casework element" is empty in regards to his properties table? like area or volume?

Not all family categories have those properties built-in.  You can create formula to get them such as Area = Length * Depth, Volume = Length * Depth * Height, etc..

Do you need Area and Volume for your Casework?  Or are you just wondering why they aren't Properties?   

 

....FWIW: Material Schedules might get you there depending on how the Family is constructed.  Interested?
