I had to re-constrained almost everything because I didn't have time to track down specific ones.
- Draw the ref plane to guide the skeleton first, parametrize them, flex, if everything works only then move on to modeling
- Elements need to constrained to ref planes, not geometry, unless for very rare occasion
- Nested family needs to have parameters and associated with host family parameter, e.g. door width, door height. I fixed the door family as well, re-constrained everything. It was a mess.
- Nested family needs to located properly. I aligned centerline to centerline of the casework, associated width and height, lock its back to the diagonal plane of the casework extrusion (here is the one rare case when element is constrained to another element)
- There are several ways to deal with constraining an angle in space (the diagonal plane). Formula is only one of them and I found it is simple enough to this particular case.
