Hi all,
For context I am working in Revit 2025, as I know features have been removed from stringers over the years.
When I enable the "Horizontal Cut" option in the "Lower End Cut" instance parameter of an individually selected stringer, I am unable to see the extended portion of stringer when in plan view, unless the stair is selected and highlighted. I have checked my view range and tried using a plan region (I would prefer to avoid this if possible). I have also tested this in a fresh project with the default template to make sure it's not just my file (the attached images are from this fresh file).
I do not want to model an object in place to account for this, make a custom or railing to replace the stringer or use a face based family to replace the lost section. The stair in my project is already utilizing a number of unorthodox solutions to other problems, and I fear these solutions will only further complicate an already overly-complicated model.
I have not been able to find anyone else discussing this specific issue. Am I just missing an obvious setting? Is there an unorthodox work around? Is this a bug with no reasonable workaround that autodesk will ignore for the next two presidential election cycles? I need some help!
