Cant see pointcloud in revit
Geodetic coordinates are great for surveying and civil work, but not for mechanical design - even with large buildings. Have the surveyor re-register the point cloud to coordinates you provide. Provide them with a set of drawings, site photos, and whatever else makes your intentions clear. Mark them up with several locations clearly marked with coordinate values you want to use. Pick points that are both easy find in a point cloud (like the corner of a foundation) and that are critical to your design. You'll want to provide at *least* 3 points, preferably at 90 degrees to each other, and spaced as far apart as possible. With that information the surveyor can transform the point cloud in both scale, position, and orientation to those points while minimizing error.
Its usually a good thing to indicate this when requesting the scan. Not only does it minimize the back-and-forth ("You didn't say you wanted that" "Well, how was I supposed to know?" "OK but I'll need to charge extra" yadda yadda...) but its helpful for the surveyor to know critical areas that *must* be scanned so they don't have to go back to site.
