Cannot see through glass generic models in elevation (shower doors & panels)

How can I make my glass generic models see through in elevation?  I create the glass shower enclosures and doors as glass generic models in the home plans.  I would like them to be see through.  I have the material transparency set to 90.  What else can I do?

Is the shower under the current phase or under an a previous phase? Is the view hidden, shaded, or realistic?

Are you in a hidden, shaded or realistic view?

Hidden, the only time I can see through the glass is in 3D.

I'm having a similar issue with my projects's elevations and sections. I can make the glass transparent the way I needed.

I believe I have found the solution!!

  1. Create glass extrusion

  2. Open elevation view

  3. select extrusion

  4. right click and select "Override Graphics in View..."

  5. select your choice of By Element, Category etc

  6. Change the "Surface Transparency" to your desired percentage.

Hope this helps everyone!!
