Cannot paste walls to selected level

When I try to paste a wall to a selected level ( I'm trying to past first floor walls down to foundation) it is saying "highlighted walls overlap" and then it doesn't paste them. Any idea why?

have your First floor view open AND your Foundation view open. select the walls and copy to clipboard from the first floor. open the foundation view and past aligned to current view.

Sounds like you pasted on top of another wall, so you have two wall in the same place. Select one and change its Properties (e.g. Level).
