Cannot install Revit 2015

I have a student license for Revit 2015 and formerly had it installed on my M6600 running Windows 8.1 Pro x64. Windows did an update a few days ago that broke all of my autodesk products (they would crash on launch and the error reporting thing would also crash), so I decided to uninstall everything and reinstall it. I've managed to get everything but Revit installed using compatibility mode. Revit, however, keeps saying "Operating System Not Supported" and won't let me install. Help?

I've tried rolling back the update to no avail, and don't really want to rebuild the whole computer.

"I decided to uninstall everything and reinstall it"

Do you mean EVERYTHING? Windows and EVERYTHING

ON YOUR HARD DRIVE?

That's all you have to do. Very easy if you know how.

Funny, but no.

Only uninstalled all the Autodesk products (and deleted the associated registry keys and leftover files). Trying to avoid having to rebuild the whole machine as I do have things I need to get done this weekend.

I was having problems with installing Revit 2015 the other day as well, it kept saying there was no network connection even though there was. It may just be an autodesk glitch with the 2015 version because I tried 2014 and it worked perfectly.
