Can we tag a ceiling

Guys, can we tag a ceiling ? Sure I can schedule them but cannot tag them, Rv17.

Is the RCP View set to Wireframe?  That would explain why you can't Tag the Ceiling.

There was no insult stated or intended. If you felt insulted, that is all on you. It's not like I called you an idiot for not knowing the answer. I gave you a solution to easily find everything that you weren't asking and more. Sorry, but mind reading is not something I am good at through the written word.

Your question was so basic, it was hardly worth addressing because you obviously had left out anything stating that you were having an issue. It seemed as if you were only asking about functionality and the answer to that is found in any basic training course or tutorial and easily found on the internet. You didn't state that you were having an issue but those same search results would have solved any issues that you were having.

You literally could have entered the same question into Google and would have gotten tons of useful results. Before asking for help, describe what you have tried and researched so far. Revit also has a help that talks about how to tag. 

Do you just not have ceiling tag families loaded? Or is it something where the tag doesn't work? Be specific.

I posted here close to 100 posts and mostly answered by Toan and Barthbradley, and I thank them so much, knowing sometime it takes a few hours. None of those answers was yours, and now you dropped out from blue sky and teach me how to find an answer in Google, etc ? Thanks but no thanks. What a cheap shot ! Barthbradley gave me an answer without knowing the nuances that normally cloud minds like yours...

People came in here asking questions, and sometimes basic questions. I
wouldn't tell them go Google or read Revit basic knowledges, because I KNOW
it s an insult to begin with. When I unintentionally insult people, I
apologize, I don't tell them "stop being sensitive" and thread them with

@yes_and_no  I'm also going to jump in here, because rather than reflecting on the fact that you asked a really dumb question, you're getting defensive.

If you already searched on Google, as you claim you did, then don't come on here and simply ask "can you tag ceilings", because you got the appropriate response for that. What are these supposed results you found that are "too complicated"? What specific issues are you having with them?

I certainly hope you grow out of this phase of whining when someone is trying to teach you to be independent soon.

If the view is wireframe (or the ceiling is transparent) then you tag by pointing to the boundary of the ceiling, or change the view to anything but wireframe. Same for floors, walls, etc... not just ceiling.

There absolutely are dumb questions. Context matters. If someone was brand new to Revit and the forum, and asked this question, it'd be a bit annoying but we'd be welcoming and help out. You've been around the forum for awhile, and I assume at least as long on Revit, so you should know how to find information.

Several of us have also asked you what was confusing about the google results you found in an attempt to help you, despite your childishness, and you still haven't responded to those questions. Instead, you have chosen to continue to dig your hole. I suggest you stop digging and use this as an opportunity for self reflection and improvement. It'll do you some good.
