Hello,

I wanted to ask if there is a way to calculate mass of a specific material in revit family instead of weight or volume?

(Assuming that we do not know the density)

Can't you get there through Materials and Physical Properties?

Mass = Density x Volume.

Why would you not know the material's density?  It is the easiest property to have and to have it correct.

FWIW: if you're using a new product, check the Manufacturer's website for that kind of information (i.e. density, etc.).

...many Manufacturers even offer Revit Content including Materials.

@arghavan.A

If you have the weight ... the Mass is equals Weight divided by the Acceleration of Gravity (M = W ÷ g)

Thank you all. Just wanted to know if it is possible to get mass without manual conversion and calculation. In conclusion, the answer to the initial question is no - not directly.

I had the environmental data of the product, but not the density.
