can't unhide a linked revit

Hi, I linked a Revit model to my general plan.

In this file there is an imported 3d autocad file.

I can see it in the Reveal hidden mode, but i can't unhide it (all is grayed out), and it's not hidden in the VG setting.

Any ideas?

VG, Revit link tab, custom, turn on Imported categories.

Go to the imported categories.

3D AutoCAD (.dwg) files are not Revit .rvt links.

Did you look at the Imported categories tab?

Did you apply a Graphic Override by Element? Can you select it in Reveal Hidden Elements mode, right-click on it and reset to default state?

First of all, @Anonymous , why on earth are you importing an AutoCAD file into Revit? Linking it would be the way to go.

Go into a 3D view. You may be able to find it when you zoom to extents. Unhide hidden objects (the little lightbulb at the bottom of your screen). With any luck, your DWG will show up in violently flaming magenta. Right click on it, and unhide.

In the interests of the health of the Revit file, here is what I would do - go into Purge Unused and look for the imported DWG - and purge it out.

Then - I would open the view that I would like to see the DWG in, and link it to be visible in to that particular view only. If this RVT is workshared - isolate the linked DWG in its own workset.

If you really really need to use DWG geometry in Revit (shudder!) then please import the DWG into a Revit Generic Model family, and then insert it into Revit. 

In an ideal world - you would learn how to model 3D geometry in Revit families.

yes, nothing is hidden.

I already checked it. As I wrote, I can see it in the reveal hidden mode, although nobody hide it, but I can't unhide it as the option is grayed out.

I tried to link it, it's too heavy and created to many problems.

I already purged it. it's a 3d file created so it's really big.

BTW this is a file we got from an engineer...

Will need to select the hidden element from the linked file to be able to unhide. So tab until you have selected the specific element, which you may need to look around for because it will show everything in reveal hidden. but only one specific element may have been hidden in the view of the linked file.

yes, I know Your problem. This LINK is duplicated.
Select link - RMC - select all instances in entire project. After - isolate in view.
And You'll see 2 links. The best to do it in default 3D view.
