Can't see Electrical Outlet in 3d once it is linked or inside another Family

Hi,

I brought an electrical outlet family into a casework family. I need to see it on top of the table in 3D, but it is only visible in plan. The electrical outlet family is face based. I have also placed the outlet family in a floor and linked this file into another file and the outlet does not show. Any ideas why? I need to be able to see the outlets on the table in 3D views.

Try Medium or Fine visual style maybe?

I figured it out, the outlet was on a type that wasn't visible
