Can't render material to Sketchup imported object

Hi

I downloaded a model from 3d warehouse. In Sketchup, I exploded the object and put all the faces in different layers. When I exported the model to dwg, I chose export faces only. I used metric furniture template to create the  family. I deleted all original render materials from Sketchup and create new material (if I duplicate default material, once I change the new material, the default material change as well, is this a bug?) I also ticked use render appearance.

Then I go to object styles - imported objects, I assigned new materials to all different layers of Imports in Families. However, it still appear as this grey shaded material. How can I fix it?? I watched this youtube - convert a Sketchup model to Revit, I followed it step by step, didn't work. Was this function no longer available in Revit 2015?????

There are not just one. I tried a few, it did't work. Those dwg files are originally sketcup models which I downloaded from 3D warehouse. Before I exported them as dwg, I exploded them into faces only.

Just upload one sample among the converted CAD drawings so I can reverse engineer it.

You need to select ALL elements in AutoCAD and change their Color to By Layer.

Thanks! Now the material change!

But I still couldn't attach an image texture or bump image on it for the material. Once I attached an image, the colour went back to that default grey colour.

Is there anyway to fix it????

Make sure you have Revit Material Libraries installed.  Try edit some textured materials and see if the mapping images actually exist and show up correctly.  I had to manually reinstall all of them.

Do you mean I need to reinstall Revit Material Libraries in Revit and how?
