I can't get my room finish schedule to populate with a room style i've created.  The pull down in the room style column won't work.  Any ideas why?  Thank you.

Please elaborate on your question a little more. It's not clear. A room finish schedule gets populated with rooms, not with other entities. What do you mean that the schedule doesn't populate with the room style that you created? Are you talking about key schedules?

yes, I can't get a key schedule I created to populate data in my room schedule.  In the youtube instructional video, once you create a key schedule and add in the room style, it allows you to easily poplulate materials.  I'm unable (however) to type or pull down the room style name as shown in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXfe22WwLZY

Can you explain, in detail, step by step what you are doing for us please? Or do a screen record and give us a the link to watch

If you follow that video it will work. Perhaps you are missing a step.

  1. Create Room Schedule with whatever fields you want to see
  2. Create Room Key with same fields as Room schedule
  3. Insert data rows to key schedule and input data for each row (floor finish/ceiling finish/wall finish etc.)
  4. Back in room schedule, insert the new field for "Room Style"
  5. Set each rooms "style" which should populate relevant info from key

Are you doing each of the above steps?

I tried unchecking the Include elements in linked files (under Fields Tab).  This did the trick.  Thank you.
